This wooden chalet used to be the office for the local Forestry. Set in beautiful mature and somewhat wild surroundings it gives the immediate feel of a holiday full of peace, quiet and relaxation. Cuddled up in the middle of a range of very impressive mountains, a short walk away there is a stunning river (you are allowed to admire the river but there is no fishing license included in the rental of the cottage)

This is actually one of the few forests with public access all around. There are no restrictions in where you wander along which makes it outstanding. Mountain Lodge is even accessible by public transport because the railway stops just a few miles away from the cottage which makes it ideal for people who want to enjoy a cycling holiday.

Shops, restaurants, pubs and petrol stations are within 4 to 5 miles of the house so ideal for a self catering holiday.The chalet has been done up and refurbished just very recently and therefore everything inside the house provides a very high standard.

The house sleeps up to 4 people in 2 twin bedded rooms. Both of the rooms have views of the stunning mountain range, which surrounds the chalet. There is a very comfortable lounge, a bathroom with a shower and a kitchen with all the modern equipment needed i.e. Fridge, electric cooker, washing machine (no dryer), toaster, kettle and all the crockery and cuttlery required for 4 people.

There is a TV in the lounge but because of the remote setting in the middle of the woods and surrounded by mountains there is no TV reception so the owner has provided a range of videos to watch.

Mountain Lodge also provides a safe environment for children because of it’s setting away from the road. There also is private parking.
