Occupying a corner spot within a pretty courtyard ‘The Stables Flat’ offers contemporary and cosy holiday accommodation providing all the facilities you could possibly need to ensure you have a comfortable stay. This attractive stone building, once the stable block for nearby Monkstadt House, has been tastefully and sympathetically renovated to provide a holiday home set in a magnificent location with a wealth of highland history attached.
Monkstadt House just close by was the seat of the Clan Macdonald in 1730 until 1815 when they moved to Armadale Castle on the south end of the island. The area of Monkstadt is situated on the western edge of the Trotternish Peninsula and provides uninterrupted views across the Minch to the Outer Hebrides.
The nearest village is that of Uig some 3 miles away and here you will find a good selection of services including a village shop and hotels. Portree the Island’s capital is a further 15 miles south and provides all the facilities you would expect of a prosperous town.
The Stables Flat benefits from an electric heating system and has an attractive fitted kitchen with washer/dryer, microwave, hob and oven. The comfortable sitting room has a colour TV, a DVD player, cassette player and CD player as well as large leather settees, a dining table and a feature fireplace with electric stove providing a friendly glow for the cosy nights at home.
The spacious kingsize bedroom is well provided with storage space and has modern en-suite facilities. There is parking space for one car and a shared patio area with outdoor furniture.
