This charming single storey semi-detached cottage, originally a stable building, provides a perfect holiday base offering both superb views and cosy well appointed accommodation.
Having been tastefully restored the cottage forms part of the Monkstadt Holiday Cottages and is close to Monkstadt House which was the seat of the Clan Macdonald in 1730 until 1815 when they moved to Armadale Castle on the south end of the island.
The area of Monkstadt is situated on the western edge of the Trotternish Peninsula and provides uninterrupted views across the Minch to the Outer Hebrides. The nearest village is that of Uig some 3 miles away and here you will find a good selection of services including a village shop and hotels. Portree the island’s capital is a further 15 miles south and provides all the facilities you would expect of a prosperous town.
The cottage benefits from an electric heating system and has a well fitted kitchen providing a washing machine, microwave, fridge with ice box etc. The living area has comfortable seating and a TV, DVD player and CD player, as well as a dining table and chairs. The bedroom has a comfortable double bed and there is a bathroom with a shower over bath.
There is a neat garden area to the front and garden furniture is provided. Parking space for 2 cars.
