This cosy semi-detached stone cottage set out over two floors, has a pretty garden to the front and an open landscaped garden to the rear with attractive pond.
The cottage has been carefully finished to provide excellent facilities and a high level of comfort throughout. A timber outer door provides access into the hallway.
The comfortable accommodation provides a bathroom with shower, a fully equipped kitchen complete with washer/dryer and a cosy lounge/dining room with leather settees and a TV with Sky connection.
There are two bedrooms on the upper floor a double room and a twin bedded room and the accommodation is fresh, clean and bright.
An electric off peak heating system keeps the cottage warm although there is a feature electric fire in the lounge. Sherpherd’s Cottage is one a few restored self-catering cottages forming the Monkstadt Holiday Cottages group. All cottages are private and set away from each other. Shepherd’s Cottage has a private parking space for two vehicles.
Monkstadt House is close by and was the seat of the Clan Macdonald in 1730 until 1815 when the moved to Armadale Castle. The area of Monkstadt is situated on the western edge of the Trotternish Peninsula and provides uninterrupted vciews across the Minch to the Outer Hebrides.
The nearest village is Uig some 3 miles away and here you will find a good selection of services including a village shop and hotels.
Portree the Island’s capital is a further 15 miles south and provides all the facilities you would expect of a prosperous town.
