This Canadian A frame house has been built in an enviable elevated position so the uninterrupted panoramic views over the Sound of Sleat to the magnificent Knoydart Peninsula, Loch Nevis and south to Ardnamurchan can be enjoyed to the full. Sealladh-Breagha is Beautiful View in Gaelic and this house really does deserve its name.
It is situated above the tiny village of Ardvasar with a local shop and hotel. The Armadale - Mallaig ferry (you can still come over the sea to Skye) is but a mile distant. You have loads to see and do in Armadale, there are excellent craft shops, wonderful woodland gardens and of course the Clan Donald Centre, beside a good choice of places to eat.
The house is sheltered by trees and yet one can sit on the full width deck/balcony and enjoy al fresco meals or just marvel at the stunning views. The house is open plan and really does reflect its Canadian design as every little bit of space is used to its maximum benefit, with a huge window facing south ensuring a light, airy atmosphere throughout.
The kitchen is compact and well fitted and is separated from the living area by a breakfast bar. Sealladh-Breagha sleeps a party of four in warmth and comfort with one ground floor and one upper storey bedroom which is reached by a very attractive pine ladder staircase. The Sleat Peninsula is renowned as the garden of Skye and enjoys a warm, gentle climate. We even have 'palm trees' growing here
An attractive open plan sitting room, very comfortably furnished with an electric fire and panel heaters. Fitted kitchen with huge picture windows onto a full width balcony. One twin and one double upper storey bedroom. Shower room with cubicle/WC/small WHB. AII modern conveniences, Fridge/freezer/ M/dryer/microwave/dishwasher. Electric cooker.
