Stein has its own widely acclaimed seafood restaurant as well as the famous Stein Inn which also serves food and is popular with locals and visitors alike.

The nearest main village is Dunvegan which is home to the world famous Dunvegan Castle and Visitor Centre and also has good local services including a wonderful bakery, organic grocer, pubs and restaurants.
