Offering superb open and widespread views across the Minch this charming traditional stone holiday cottage is the perfect place for a ‘get away from it all’ break. The cottage retains many original and charming features such as the wooden floors and the wood lined walls and benefits from night storage heating on the ground floor and electric panel heating in the two main bedrooms.

You also have the option of using the open fires in the dining room and sitting room if you want a particularly cosy night in. An entrance hall provides access off to the spacious dining room which in turns lead through to a nicely fitted kitchen. The kitchen provides an electric cooker, a microwave, a washing machine, fridge/freezer and all the equipment you could possibly need.

The sitting room on the opposite side of the hall has a comfy suite and a TV with DVD player. Books and games are also provided. The bathroom is on the ground floor and has a shower over the bath, WC and wash hand basin. The upper floor has a double bedroom, a twin bedded room and a small single room. There is also a most convenient Cloakroom on the upper floor with a WC and wash hand basin.

Kendram is a friendly township situated on the northern tip of the Island, an area of great natural beauty with an abundance of wildlife. For walkers, the Ruhba Hunish is a good whale spotting location. The nearest (& stunningly located) hotel is at Duntulm, which for the more energetic guests is a very pleasant half an hour’s walk away! Nearby Staffin, has a community run general store for provisions.

The village of Uig is some 15 minutes away by car and here you will find good local services and also the ferry terminal connecting Skye to the Outer Hebrides, which is a lovely journey and should be considered. There is limited roadside parking next to the garden wall in front of the house. An electric £1 coin meter is in operation but the first £20 of electricity is provided; any extra used will need to be funded by the visitor.
