Situated to the rear of the original and sympathetically renovated stable block for nearby Monkstadt House is this comfortable first floor holiday apartment. ‘The Granary’ offers contemporary and cosy holiday accommodation and provides all the facilities you could possibly need to ensure you have an unforgettable highland holiday.
You will immediately be impressed by the magnificent views across the Minch to the Outer Hebrides and the magic unspoilt beauty the area has to offer. Having indeed been once used as the Granary you will see the ‘horse walk’ situated just beside the entrance to your apartment. Monkstadt House was the seat of the Clan Macdonald in 1730 until 1815 when they moved to Armadale Castle on the south end of the island.
The area of Monkstadt is situated on the western edge of the Trotternish Peninsular and is conveniently located with the village of Uig just 3 miles away where there are good local services as well as the ferry connecting Skye to the Outer Hebrides.
The daily ferry crossings can be clearly seen from this apartment. Portree the Island’s capital is a further 15 miles to the south and provides all the services you would expect of a busy town.
The Granary benefits from an electric heating system and has an attractive fitted kitchen with washer/dryer, microwave, hob and oven. The comfortable sitting area has a colour TV, cassette player and CD players as well as comfortable settees and a dining table and chairs. The spacious double bedroom is well provided with storage space and has an en-suite shower room.
There is parking space for one car and outdoor furniture is provided.
