Its stunning location and immaculate presentation will impress visitors to this cottage.  Fernilea Cottage is situated on an elevated site overlooking Loch Harport with outstanding uninterrupted views down the Loch to the Cuillin mountain range.  The cottage has been totally refurbished and offers a high level of comfort and facilities.

Carbost is a friendly highland village which is a 2 minute drive away (approx 1½ miles) from the cottage.  There is a well stocked local shop, a post office and welcoming local pub.  Carbost is also home to the world famous Talisker Distillery and Visitors Centre which is well worth a visit.  There is easy access into the heart of the magnificent Cuillin mountain range from Sligachan (10mins drive) and Glenbrittle (20mins drive).  A choice of guiding operators and guided walks are available for the area, catering for all levels of walking and climbing experience. The Sligachan Loop mountain bike trail can be accessed from Sligachan Hotel.  Dunvegan Castle, one of the most famous fortresses in the area, is only a short drive away. Fernilea Cottage is situated in an ideal central location from which to tour the Island. Benefiting from an electric heating system this cosy cottage comprises entrance porch opening into hallway with access off to all accommodation.  There is a lovely bright sitting room with feature fireplace, complete with quality furnishings, a wide screen TV with Sky box and DVD player; CD and iPod/iPhone docking station.  There are also a selection of books, DVD’s, games and children’s toys.

The kitchen/dining room is situated just off the sitting room and has every possible convenience you would require including a dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge/freezer, electric double oven cooker, microwave and a dining table and chairs.

There is a total of 3 bedrooms, one with a king size double bed, one with a double bed and one with a single bed.  Bed linen and towels are provided and all the pillows etc. are non-allergenic, there are no feathers in sight! A folding high chair and child’s travel cot (does not include linen) are provided.

A contemporary bathroom has just been installed and this has a shower style bath with power electric shower over, WC and wash hand basin.

A generous enclosed garden area lies to the front of the cottage.  A second area of garden with an attractive natural burn and large drying green lies to the west of the driveway. There is off road parking available for two vehicles
