Alderburn was built at the beginning of the 20th century, and has been tastefully decorated with an Art Deco theme. The centre of Portree is just five minutes walk away, with a wide choice of shops, hotels, restaurants and bars. Touring from Alderburn will leave you spoilt for choice with so many fascinating places and attractions to visit. Lovely walks can be enjoyed from the cottage either up the hill to Black Rock or down to the sea, where you might see otters and seals. Bird watching is rewarded with sightings of sea birds, including sea eagles and golden eagles. However if you decide that you want to relax at home, Alderburn offers comfort inside and plenty of garden space to enjoy al-fresco dining.
The internal accommodation consists of a spacious, high specification kitchen with all the necessary appliances including a microwave, double oven, electric hob, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge and freezer. There are tables and chairs for dining in both the kitchen and the main dining room. A dryer is located in the utility room which is also a good place to leave your coats and walking boots.
The comfortable lounge is equipped with a TV, DVD player, docking station, CD player and radio. A selection of games and a library of books, catering for all ages, are also provided. Patio doors lead into the mature gardens and paved outdoor seating area, where you can relax in the peace and quiet of this beautiful location.

On the upper floor there are two very comfortable double bedrooms each with amazing views of Portree Bay and Ben Tianavaig. Both rooms have TVs and DVD players.
The spacious bathroom consists of a W/C, hand basin, walk in shower, and enormous bathtub. There is a further W/C and hand basin downstairs.
