Standing on a hillside from which there are lovely views across the surrounding area and northwards to Fiscavaig Bay this cottage provides the level of comfort and care that visitors will be delighted with. Although a traditional stone cottage retaining some original features such as the pine v-lined walls, it has been tastefully extended and upgraded and now combines the character of a cosy cottage with the comfort and brightness of a modern home.

A gentle track leads from the public road, through a gate to a private parking area and pretty garden. This cottage is bright and sunny on pleasant days and warm and cosy on cold ones as it benefits from double glazing, a wood burning stove and an oil central heating system.

The village of Portnalong is an area of crofting and fishing and Loch Harpot provides a safe anchorage for many sailing ships and little boats. Locally the sandy beaches of Glen Brittle are perfect for a family holiday and nearby Talisker Distillery and Visitors Centre is well worth a look. There are restaurants throughout this area providing good local food and the Taigh Eilean Hotel, which is just 2 minutes walk form this cottage offers an excellent range of reasonably priced dishes as well as having a friendly bar where you can meet the locals!

The kitchen/dining room is situated in the rear extension of the cottage and is spacious and modern with pine fronted units and facilities including a washing machine, fridge, eye level cooker and 4 ring gas hob together with all the usual implements you would expect from a cottage of this standard.

There is a dining table and chairs and open access through to the rest of the accommodation. The contemporary lounge has a window to the front with a lovely open outlook and natural wood flooring which continues throughout the rest of the cottage.

A wood-burning stove is set beneath a natural stone gable end wall and logs for this stove can be found in the garden shed. For those relaxing evenings in you can light the stove and watch the new LCD television (with Sky) or watch a DVD.

Bedroom 1 has two adult size bunk beds with reading lights and the large double bedroom, with window to front, is extensively fitted with a wall-to-wall storage and hanging unit and modern double bed. To complete this lovely cottage is the modern white bathroom with both bath and power shower. In the Garden there is a garden table and chairs.
