This 19th Century stone crofter’s cottage is situated in the quiet township of Camustianavaig on the Braes peninsula. It retains many traditional features and has been recently renovated (2008) to include all modern facilities required. Despite its rural location, it is very conveniently situated close to the Island’s capital town of Portree with its excellent services and facilities including restaurants, bars, shops and all other amenities you would expect from a busy town.
The accommodation comprises one full height, open plan living area incorporating a comfortable sitting room with Freesat TV and a modern kitchen fully equipped with fridge, washing machine and microwave.
A multi fuel stove makes this open plan living area extremely cosy and the owners provide an initial supply of kindling, coal & logs. Further supplies can be purchased locally in Portree.
On the ground floor there is a master double bedroom with wardrobe and a family bathroom with wc, wash hand basin and bath with shower over.
Half of 12 Camustianavaig would be ideal as a romantic hideaway, and for couples wanting to get away from it all. It has easy access to the bay via the single track loop road. There is private off road parking available next to the cottage.
The cottage is heated by electric, wall mounted heaters and the stove provides extra warmth during the winter months. The electricity charges for this property are included in the weekly rental price.
