What a perfect holiday retreat! Visitors to this traditional stone cottage built out of local stone in 1823 will be delighted by its location and charm. With lovely views looking right across to the Cuillin, this cottage has been totally transformed to provide cosy accommodation with every necessary modern convenience. There's no better way of experiencing a truly Highland lifestyle in the vicinity of such a peaceful and welcoming setting as this.

The Old Byre next door has been upgraded and converted and now provides additional accommodation for the cottage and an ideal private space. A small garden to the front makes a lovely picnic area and is a perfect space from which to fully appreciate the magnificent surrounding scenery.

In the house, the open plan ground floor comprises a spacious dining area with an extendable table which seats 4-6 people. The neat fitted kitchen has an electric cooker, washing machine/dryer and fridge/freezer, while the cosy sitting room, with its 2 settees and a television & DVD Player, is set out around an open fireplace (the fire will be set ready for your first fire).

On the upper floor there is a spacious shower room and two bedrooms, one double and one twin room. Located in the side garden is the Old Barn, now converted and providing a twin bedded room with en-suite shower room.

The Old Barn has an electric panel heater whilst the main cottage is heated by oil central heating. Please be aware that the mobile phone signal in the area is poor and therefore a payphone has been installed in the house.

Torrin is a small friendly crofting community some 7 miles from the nearest main village of Broadford which has excellent local services including a supermarket, shops, hotels, pubs and restaurants.

In an area surrounded by wildlife, there are ample opportunities for hill walking with the Red Hills in front of the house and Blaven behind. Also, the award winning “Bella Jane” operates from Elgol pier and, from here, you can travel into the heart of the Cuillin and see seals along the way.

The accommodations can sleep up to six people as there is a twin en suite room located in the Old Barn, if you require the extra room please call through to our office to make a booking (There is an additional charge for the room of £25).
