Habost is located on the eastern side of the Island and its convenient central location makes it a suitabe base from which to tour this beautiful Island. the Island of Lewis is the largest of the islands making up the area known as the Western Isles.

It is quite flat with a rugged coastline and wonderful beaches and the ideal location for visitors who enjoy walking, fishing, bird watching or simply visiting places of interest such as the world famous Callanish Standing Stones located on the west side of the Island. Borishader Cottages has recentley been graded by the Scottish Tourist Board as 3 *** Star accommodation.

The village of Habost is some 4 miles from the main A859 Tarbet to Stornoway road and a private tarmac driveway leads up from the township road to a parking area at the front of the cottage.

Borishader Cottage sleeps 3 people having a spacious single room and a generously proportioned double room. The well equipped lounge has comfortable settees, a TV and video recorder and the well equipped kitchen/dining room benefits from a washing machine/ tumble dryer, a cooker, fridge/freezer and microwave as well as having the luxury of an open fire to ensure those cosy evening meals around the dining table extend long into the evening.
